I don't imagine a world in which every single person on the planet is given free access to the sum of all human knowledge anymore. I build it instead.

Elitre who?

Hi! I'm Italian, and I've been a steady presence in the Wikimedia Movement since ca. 2005 (sysop at and Commons; main focuses on copyvio, OTRS, GLAMs). Read more at my usual userpage. Will use my former account for all my volunteer work here.

I can read a lot of languages, and Italian is my mother tongue. I have a practical approach; I'll do whatever I can, including using online translators, to understand others - I find English is a good common ground to communicate, so nobody needs to apologize while making the effort to use it.

Why am I here?

I was hired to assist the Wikimedia Foundation with the visual editor in 2013; I'm helping several communities where it's already the primary editor and others where it's still a Beta feature, and I occasionally get involved with other products or features. Let's support each other.

If you have any feedback about the visual editor and want it readily addressed, make sure you post it on the centralized feedback page; several community members and WMF employees may be able to help you there. In alternative, sending me an email may work better than just pinging me on wikis.

Feel free to drop me a line if you think it'd be useful to have me at a Wikimedia-related event you're organizing.

Disclaimer: I work for the Wikimedia Foundation, and this is the account I intend to use for edits or statements I make in that role. However, the Foundation does not vet all my activity, and edits, statements, or other contributions made by this account may not reflect the views of the Foundation.
